Student Support
Thesis writing and academic support
My name is Wioletta Boćkowska, and I have run Student Support since 2018. I write bachelor’s and master’s theses, postgraduate final projects and individual chapters. I also prepare presentations and coursework, work with real research findings and refine existing texts. Send me your topic, file or supervisor’s comments. Before starting, I will agree the scope, price and deadline with you.
Do you have a topic, a draft, or feedback from your supervisor? Let's start with what you have.
- direct contact with me at every stage,
- scope, price and deadline agreed before work begins,
- examples I created to show my work with text, documents and data.
Who is this site for?
For students who are just starting their thesis, have data to analyse or are revising an existing text. You don't need to know which service to choose. Tell me where you are stuck, and I will help define the support you need.
What is it like to work with me?
Send the topic, materials, and required deadline. I will check what needs to be done and discuss the scope, price, and feasibility with you. Before starting, I will agree on what you will receive and when.
What makes Student Support different?
I combine methodology, real-data analysis and editing. I keep research questions, results and conclusions aligned, addressing supervisor feedback and university requirements.

Working together
How does it work, step by step?
Studies, work, and daily duties do not always leave time for everything. Write to me about what is holding you back. I will help identify which tasks you can delegate. You can handle everything online.
- STEP 01
Describe what you need
Provide the topic, stage of work, and deadline. Attach the current file and supervisor or university guidelines if you have them. You can submit the whole thesis or just one issue.
You don't need to know which service to choose. I will help define the support you need.
- STEP 02
Learn about the scope, price, and deadline
I will review your materials and provide a quote. Before starting, I will agree on what I will prepare, when you will receive it and the payment arrangements.
You know exactly what you are paying for and what you will receive before making a decision.
- STEP 03
Receive the prepared material
Once the terms and arrangements are confirmed, I will carry out the agreed tasks. I will check the completed work and send it in the agreed format by the agreed deadline.
While I work on your material, you have time for your other responsibilities.

Bibliography and footnotes - common formal errors that weaken a thesis
Bibliography and footnotes often seem like a purely technical addition to a thesis. In practice, they can strongly affect how the text is assessed, because they show whether sources were used carefully, consistently and in line with university requirements. A bibliographic note answers “where does this information come from?”. An explanatory note adds or clarifies content. Calling something an “author’s note” identifies who supplied it, not necessarily its function. An example of a real source in a full bibliographic note: Roediger, H. L., III, Karpicke, J. D. (2006). Test-enhanced learning: Taking memory tests improves long-term retention. Psychological Science, 17(3), 249-255. DOI: 10.1111/j.1467-9280.2006.01693.x. An original explanatory note for the demonstration passage: “In this discussion, rereading means reading the same material again without attempting to retrieve it from memory”. This defines the usage adopted here; it is not a quotation from the paper listed above. An explanation based on another writer’s definition or finding still needs a source citation. In APA, source citations generally remain in the main text, while footnotes can supplement the content. Do not move a full reference into a note merely because a thesis using a different referencing system does so. If the text lacks source material, first return to searching for and evaluating literature for the thesis. Add references based on publications you have read, rather than matching random titles to existing statements. If the problem is a lack of sources for an argument, rather than the formatting of known publications, check . This scope covers preparing all necessary literature and bibliography for agreed topics before references are created in the finished text. If you are correcting citations after an anti-plagiarism check, also see how to interpret a JSA report and distinguish similarity from AI indicators. This will help you determine what the note refers to before you start changing the text. The detailed examples of citing Polish legislation and judgments show how to check publication details, the version of a text and the case identifier. For a complete reference and a sequence of repeat citations, see footnotes and Oxford referencing with worked examples, following the route...

How can you organise a thesis without losing the logic of your argument?
Example topic: use of consultations by students preparing their thesis. Example topic: ways of organising thesis consultations presented in the literature. Example topic: design of a thesis consultation booking system. If the layout is established but there is no text explaining concepts and comparing authors' positions, check . The scope of writing is then agreed on the basis of the aim, outline and available publications. Example of a working transition from the conceptual part to the methodology: The framework presented distinguished the availability of consultations from their perceived usefulness. These were treated as two separate areas in the study. The next section explains how participants and questions for describing these areas were selected.

Thesis formatting - how to adapt the document to university guidelines?
Finished content is not yet a finished document. Learn how to turn university guidelines into Word settings, organise numbering, the table of contents, other lists and captions, and check the final Word or PDF file. This guide includes a practical order for corrections and a checklist before printing the thesis or uploading it to the university system. The Different First Page option hides the number on the first page of the section. A simple page break does not create independent numbering. For chapters, apply the style Heading 1, for subchapters Heading 2, and for lower levels Heading 3. Go to Home > Multilevel List and select a list design linked to these styles, for example 1, 1.1, 1.1.1. Remove manually typed numbers so that they do not appear twice. Click the automatic table of contents and select References > Update Table > Update entire table. Check titles, levels and page numbers. If entries are missing, correct the heading style in the text. After exporting, also check the PDF. Command names refer to Microsoft 365 Word for Windows. They may differ in other versions. Include the introduction, conclusion and bibliography according to the university guidelines. First, determine the citation style and its edition, then check the formatting of books, articles, reports and other sources. Do not only change the font of footnotes while ignoring missing data or incorrect references. A thesis using APA may contain footnotes for explanatory purposes. The error is unjustified mixing of source documentation methods, not the coexistence of parentheses and footnotes. Similarly, the absence of an access date or place of publication does not always indicate an error: it depends on the style and document type. Verify that citations include the required locators, paraphrases indicate their sources, and bibliography entries correspond to in-text references, taking into account the exceptions of the adopted system. Detailed examples can be found in the guide on bibliography and footnotes in a thesis. For the technical setup, use the footnote function rather than manually typing a superscript reference marker and a note at the bottom of the page. In the bibliography, set...
