Nursing

Support with a bachelor’s or master’s thesis in nursing: editing a case study, methodology, questionnaire, presentation of results and bibliography. Organise your research material and prepare the document to meet university guidelines.

Case studies, research and statistics

NursingSupport with bachelor’s and master’s theses

Have a case description, literature or survey results, but find it difficult to bring them together into a coherent thesis? I can help organise chapters, refine the methodology and analyse the data statistically, then present the results and conclusions clearly.

Support with the whole document or one element: case description, questionnaire, statistical analysis, literature or revisions following supervisor feedback.

Topic and thesis structure

Connect knowledge from the literature
with the material you describe

A bachelor’s case study needs an organised description of the patient and nursing process. A research-based master’s thesis needs to connect the aim, materials and methods, results, discussion and conclusions. I can help match the structure to the type of thesis and your university’s requirements.

In a case study I will organise the patient description you provide and the links between nursing problems, care goals, the interventions described and evaluation of their outcomes. Readers can then follow the account and its connection with the theoretical section.

In the theoretical section I can help organise publications by topic and link them to the thesis subject. If your university allows a review-based thesis, I will also organise the publication selection criteria and how their findings are brought together. In a research thesis I will refine the participant group description, account of the analysis and consistency of conclusions with results.

Have an approved outline or your supervisor’s comments? Attach them to the text. Remove information that could identify patients before sending their materials.

Support matched to your topic

Your thesis may concern patient care, health education or the work of nursing staff. Example areas include:

Care for patients with chronic conditions
Perioperative care and preparation for self-care
Geriatric nursing and long-term care
Patient knowledge, prevention and health education
Pain, quality of life and patient safety
Occupational stress, burnout and working conditions

Methodology and research tools

Plan a study whose results answer your thesis questions

Before collecting responses, establish what you want to find out and how you will measure it. I can help refine the research design and connect questionnaire items, variables and the analysis plan.

  • The aim, research problems and hypotheses, if required by the thesis design.
  • Selection and description of the method, technique and research tool.
  • Refining an original questionnaire and the response coding scheme.
  • Description of the scale or questionnaire used, its Polish version and scoring rules.
  • Demographic and clinical characteristics of the participant group and participant selection criteria.
  • Organising the description of document analysis, observation or interviews, if these were used in the study.
  • The study procedure, approach to data analysis and limitations.

If the study has already been completed, I will refine its description to reflect how it was actually carried out. Your supervisor’s or university guidelines and the materials you provide are the reference point.

Statistical analysis in nursing

Have you collected your data?
I will analyse the results and help you understand them

You can commission just the statistical analysis of survey or scale results. I can help prepare the dataset, select calculations, create tables and charts, and describe the findings in relation to the research questions.

Data preparation and descriptive statistics

Organising the spreadsheet, coding responses, checking missing data and scoring of the tools used.

  • Counts and percentages, with clearly stated denominators.
  • Mean and standard deviation, or median and interquartile range, as appropriate to the data.
  • Participant group characteristics and distributions of responses to questions.
  • Overall and subscale scores calculated according to the tool’s documentation.

Application: describing patient knowledge, ratings of care quality or questionnaire results.

Group comparisons

Checking whether results differ between the groups identified in the study, taking account of the data type and test assumptions.

  • Two independent groups: Student’s t-test or the Mann-Whitney U test, with the variant selected to suit the analysis assumptions.
  • More than two independent groups: analysis of variance (ANOVA) or the Kruskal-Wallis test.
  • Follow-up comparisons after analysing multiple groups, where justified.

Application: comparing scale scores between wards or knowledge levels in two participant groups.

Associations between variables

Selecting an analysis for a question about associations between participant characteristics, responses or scale scores.

  • Spearman’s rank correlation or Pearson’s correlation, depending on the measurement scale and nature of the association.
  • The chi-squared test of independence or Fisher’s exact test for appropriate categorical data.
  • Description of the association’s direction, strength and limitations.

Application: the association of length of service with a burnout scale score, or of education with a survey response.

Scale and questionnaire results

Calculating scores and subscale scores according to the tool’s documentation and the version used in the study.

  • Pain scales, such as NRS or VAS, and assessment of independence, for example using the Barthel Index.
  • Questionnaires on quality of life, satisfaction with care or patient safety in Polish versions.
  • Reverse scoring, missing responses and interpretation of the score range in line with the tool’s rules.

Application: describing pain intensity, patients’ functional ability or ratings of specific areas of care.

Choosing the analysis starts with the data. I will check the methods’ assumptions, including variable distributions; the Shapiro-Wilk test can be used to assess normality. I will take account of the research questions, sample size, variable types, distributions and whether measurements are related. Reporting can include p-values, effect sizes and confidence intervals, as appropriate to the analysis. For multi-item scales, internal consistency can also be assessed, for example with Cronbach’s alpha, if justified by the tool’s design.

Have before-and-after measurements? I will establish whether they concern the same people and select an analysis for related data. This comparison can be included if it follows from your study design.

Editing and final revisions

Refine your chapters, sources
and document presentation

If the content is already written, I can help improve sentence structure, remove repetition, make terminology consistent and refine transitions between sections. I will organise the case description, methodology or table commentary so that the text is clear and coherent.

Have your supervisor’s comments but are unsure where to start? Send them with the current thesis. For more extensive revisions, the service “Thesis review” can help establish which problems need attention first.

I can also adapt approved text to your university’s guidelines: organise heading styles, tables of contents and lists, numbering, tables and page layout. You can choose one element or agree a broader scope.

References and Vancouver style

I can help standardise citations and the bibliography according to your supervisor’s or university guidelines, including where Vancouver style is required.

  • Citation numbering and the order of entries in the reference list.
  • Consistent presentation of authors, titles and journal names.
  • Year, volume, issue, pages and DOI identifiers.
  • Reference entries for books, articles, guidelines and online sources.
  • Consistency between in-text citations and the reference list.
  • Identification of missing bibliographic details.

Before your first message

A nursing thesis.
What should we agree?

I will match support to the type of thesis, tools used and materials you already have. You can send a bachelor’s thesis, master’s thesis or just request work on the results.

Does a nursing case study require statistical tests?

A single-patient case study usually uses a structured description of the case, nursing problems, goals, interventions, and evaluation of care. Using a scale or taking several measurements does not in itself mean that statistical tests are needed. The scope of the study depends on the thesis design and the supervisor's or university's guidelines. Send the plan and anonymised material, and I will help determine an appropriate structure and way to present the data.

Can you help analyse and present the results of a standardised scale in a nursing thesis?

Yes. Please send the respondents' answers, the name of the instrument and the Polish version used, and the scoring rules, including point values, subscales, reverse-scored items and how to handle missing responses. I will help prepare the dataset, calculate scores according to the documentation and present them in tables and text. Any group comparisons, correlations or assessment of internal consistency will be tailored to the instrument, sample and research questions.

How to compare results before and after health education in a nursing thesis?

First, you must establish whether both measurements concern the same individuals and whether their responses can be correctly linked. Such data require analysis for dependent measures. For appropriate quantitative data, you can consider the paired t-test or the Wilcoxon signed-rank test; the choice depends on the type of data and the assumptions of the analysis. I will prepare the summaries and description of change, taking into account missing measurements. Comparing before and after results, without an appropriate research design, does not determine that the change was caused solely by the education.

Must the bibliography in a nursing thesis be in Vancouver style?

Not always. The citation method specified in the supervisor's or university's guidelines applies. If Vancouver is required, I will help organise the citation numbering, the order of items, and the formatting of authors, titles, journals, volumes, pages, and DOI identifiers. I will also check the consistency of in-text citations with the reference list.

Start from your current stage of work

Send your materials.
Agree the price and scope of support

You do not need to wait until the whole thesis is finished. Share your topic, a passage or collected data and explain what you find difficult. I will use this to propose the scope of support, price and a possible delivery date.

What should you send for a quote?

  • Your topic, type of thesis, current text and deadline.
  • Your supervisor’s or university guidelines and comments on revisions.
  • For statistics: the response spreadsheet, questionnaire, research questions and coding description.
  • For scales: the tool’s name, version and scoring rules.

Remove information that could identify patients or respondents, including from descriptions and appendices. You can send materials through the contact page or by email.
